Promoters visiting the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2007

If you are on the lookout for new productions to bring to your venue, then where better to start than the Edinburgh Fringe Festival?  The Fringe offers opportunities for accredited promoters to see certain shows at the Fringe for free!  So if you are interesed in making a trip to the Fringe to suss out what's available then check out this link and get in touch.

Rural Touring Commission Fund.CLOSING DATE 20th APRIL so get your applications in NOW!

The Rural Touring Commission Fund supports artists from Dumfries and Galloway in developing their creative talents.  The commission will give local artists the chance to complete or create a new piece for presentation around the rural touring circuit.  Applications are welcome from any artistic discipline whether you are a writer, dancer, theatrical performer or musician. 

 

To apply, prospective applicants must fulfill two criteria:

 

a) They must be resident within Dumfries & Galloway

b) They must create a new/original piece of work.

 

So far the rural touring project has reached 16 venues, with 45 shows, and has reached over 2000 audience members throughout the Dumfries and Galloway region

 

The closing date for applications is the 20th of April.  Applicants will be informed whether they have been successful by the 4th of May.  This fund is intended to give local artists a valuable opportunity to showcase their talent and boost their reputation outwith the region. We are looking to start having a regular once a month event please mail us ideas for these like where could they be held who could perform at them all thoughts and ideas are welcome so let us know your ideas for an exciting night/day out once a month.
